Welcome to the Station Information Management System!

NIWA SIMS is a Web based data management system to maintain descriptive information about environmental monitoring stations around New Zealand. The system lists Hydrometric, Climate, Water Quality, Coastal, and other stations.

SIMS Station Information includes:

• Station location information including which organisation operates the site.
• A list of the observational data types collected at the station.
• Station documents such as pictures.
• A list of organisations that fund site operation.

This system includes details for sites operated by organisations other than NIWA and this information is maintained on a best endeavours basis.
