NIWA SIMS is a Web based data management system to maintain descriptive information about environmental monitoring stations around New Zealand. The system lists Hydrometric, Climate, Water Quality, Coastal, and other stations.

SIMS Station Information includes:

• Station location information including who to contact for further information.
• A list of the observational data types collected at the station.
• Station documents such as pictures and site diagrams.
• A description of the organisations that fund site operation.
• A list of equipment that is or has been used at the site.
